Music World – Debut Episode.
Allow me to introduce Music World, my concept for a travel show that connects you to a variety of music and culture from around the world.
The debut episode, “La Rantifusa,” takes us through the streets of San Telmo, a neighborhood of Buenos Aires where every Sunday, there is a “ferria” or street fair, where bohemian artists and musicians gather to sell their crafts to tourists and locals alike.
I followed around “Orquesta Mínima La Rantifusa,” a group of Uruguayan tango musicians who were visiting Buenos Aires. They were walking the streets of the ferria to find a spot to setup and play.
Here is their story, please enjoy.
This is just the first part of a multi-segment series on the revival of tango music in Buenos Aires, so stay tuned for future episodes.
Shot using Erik Braund’s Canon 5D Mark II with Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 lens. Audio was captured using a Rode VideoMic as well as a Zoom H4n.

There’s also a YouTube version.
