I agree it’s troll marketing. But who’s behind it? Is it this Chris Parnell using the EW format and Lynette? Or is it Lynette, deliberately focusing on the shipper spin when he was speaking to aggressive fan behavior, not necessarily shipper behavior?

I am gonna guess it is both. One is so far removed from the fandom that he is just speaking in more general terms. The other has an axe to grind and take pleasure in it. But both know exactly they are doing. It has ALWAYS come from the top down. Always. The best examples are the COO tweeting the article (with the wrong picture), Starz emailing out JJ link for promoting (straight from DG’s mouth), and now this (incredibly condescending) quote.
