Laoghaire was there to show Bree another marriage out of obligation, just like Claire and Frank’s. I guess people just aren’t mature enough to get this.

Look, I’d much prefer to have Bree understanding the marriage of her parents through positive emotions (Ian telling her about it, her seeing the love people of Lallybroch had for her mother and for the mere thought of her existence, Jamie’s sacrifices for his family) than through negatives again. The negative of a photograph is part of the image and, yet, true beauty will always be in the positive film. And I don’t think maturity has ANYTHING to do with this. Be well X
