I haven’t heard that for sure, but I wouldn’t be surprised if she attends in person.
I think the BAFTA/IFTA are the realistic possibility for her to receive an award and since Belfast is a film that has attracted the most audiences in the UK, it would only be logical for most of the cast to attend.
In my opinion it would be wise to attend the Baftas and then stay in the UK, since filming for season 7 is happening at the end of the month anyway, that would be the most sensible thing to do from a “new motherhood” perspective.
However, since many of her/her PR actions during this long award season were not exactly characterized by reasonableness, it wouldn’t surprise me if she also participates at the Oscars.
As for the behavior of her stans.
I was once told by a professor when I was at university (and it stuck with me):
“The best thing that can happen to a company is people, who are so convinced of a product/person that you can sell them crap for gold.”
That absolutely applies here.
